I am a Toronto-based journalist and foodie. Join me as I combine my two identities to explore food that is based on the creative and conscious use of whole grains, vegetables, fruits and legumes. This site will feature recipes, articles showcasing healthy ingredients, news-related to healthy eating and book reviews of cook books.
I dig deep into my Indian heritage and marry it with my life in North America to bring you dishes that would please not just your palate but also your physician.

Hello Mini! Great recipes, and your site looks great. Do you mind if I re-post your bulgur upma recipe on HealthyIndianDiet.com?
Absolutely not! Go ahead.
Also, it means a lot to me that you checked out the website! Thank you.
Hi Mini! Thanks for checking out my blog, Sugar Talk, and being interested enough to start folloing it! Love what you’re doing on Lean Streak (love the name, too) as I adore Indian food. I’ve always been a little hesitant to cook it, so your recipes will be great and get me motivated!
Hi Rachel,
Not only are the desserts great ideas, they also look so pretty! Restaurants overcomplicate Indian food. Indian homecooking is so much more simpler and in my opinion, better. Now, you’ve motivated me to post more Indian recipes, and you keeping weaving your magic!
I love your blog too
Thank you for following my blog! I hope you continue to enjoy it. I’m looking forward to seeing more of yours as healthy eating is a passion of mine!
hai Mini… thanks for the visit and follow of my blog… You have a great one here….:)
Hi Mini,
Thank you for finding and following my blog. Your work here is great and very much needed. I’ve been researching the effects of food on health and disease given the little complication I have in my life. I wish I’d known 20 years ago what I now know today about sugar, whole grains and fruits/vegetables. I’ll look forward to keeping up with your blog which is a big help to people like me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Tracy
